Saratoga is a handsome black on black quartzite with only subtle mottles of white. The black veining runs several shades lighter than the face and streaks like lightning vertically across the width of the slab. Saratoga Quartzite looks almost identical to Saratoga Soapstone but runs several orders of hardness above it. And while you can cut directly on the surface of quartzite and likely be okay, it’s always advisable to use a cutting board.
